Suzanne Selfors is the author of the Imaginary Veterinary series, the Smells Like Dog series, "Fortune's Magic Farm," "To Catch a Mermaid," and many other books. She lives near the Olympic Mountains, a range covered in fat, slow-moving marmots -- perfect food for dragons. When not dragon-spotting, she's busy writing books, which is her very favorite thing to do.
Dan Santat is a children's book writer and illustrator. He graduated from Art Center College of Design and lives in Southern California, with his family, a rabbit, a bird, and one cat.

Imaginary Veterinary Series - Rescuing the Dragon

My son loved the book on the sasquatch in this series. It was more lighthearted and fun than this one. While this one is a good book, it has a little more of a serious tone to it. The characters are still enjoyable and it is full of adventure. We miss sasquatch, though.

Great series

My second grader is counting down the days until the release of the 4th book in this series. These were the first books that completely captured his imagination and had him reading on his own without being asked. Super creative and lots of fun for young readers.

My 5th grade little guy liked it and he normally dislikes reading..

My child is not a big fan of reading at all - he's a smart guy who does well in school, he's just not that interested in books with all the interesting video games out there :P .. we make him read 30 minutes a day anyways.. despite his dislike of reading he absolutely loves this series and asks for each book in the series as it comes out as his preferred 30 minutes of reading each day..
